[ Delete the cookies
The cookies hold settings such as your passwords, settings for certain webpages (customized home pages). If these get corrupted IE will lock up trying to read these.
1. Click on tools
2. Click on Options
3. Click Delete Cookies
4. Click YES.
5. Once finished, click on tools, options, Settings, View Files
6. Highlight all files by holding down the control key and hitting the letter a, or click on edit, select all
7. Delete them all by hitting the delete key or by clicking on edit, then delete
