هذا النص غير موجود في المخطوطات اليونانيه ( الاحرف الكبيرة ) א, B, L, and W. يتم وجوده مع العديد من الاختلافات في المخطوطات A, D, K, X والبشيتا والدياتسرون , يبدو ان الناسخ اضاف هذه العباره من متى 6:15 [3]
ويعلق بروس متزجر
على الرغم من انه قد يكون يعتقد ان النص حُذف عن طريق الخطأ بسبب ” homoeoteleuton “ , غيابها عن الشواهد المبكرة التى تُمثل جميع انواع النصوص يجعل من المُحتمل جداً ان الكلمات التى تم ادراجها من قبل الناسخ هي في التقليد من متى 6:15 [4]
فبالفعل من المُمكن ان يحدث خطأ بسبب تشابه النصين 25و 26 بسبب النهايات المتشابهه
Mar 11:25 وَمَتَى وَقَفْتُمْ تُصَلُّونَ فَاغْفِرُوا إِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ عَلَى أَحَدٍ شَيْءٌ لِكَيْ يَغْفِرَ لَكُمْ أَيْضاً أَبُوكُمُ الَّذِي فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ زَلاَّتِكُمْ.

لكن روجر اومنسون لا يعتبرة شيء مُرجح فيقول
غياب هذا النص من الشواهد الأوليه التى تمثل جميع انواع النصوص يجعل من المُحتمل جداً ان الكلمات تم ادراجها من قبل ناسخ من متى 6:15 ومن غير المُرجح ان يكون النص 26 اصلياً ولكن تم حذفه عن طريق الخطأ بسبب قفز العين من الكلمات τὰ παραπτώματα ὑμῶν في نهايه العدد 25 الى نفس الكلمات في نهايه العدد 26 [5]
فالنص ثابت في انجيل متى
Mat 6:15 وَإِنْ لَمْ تَغْفِرُوا لِلنَّاسِ زَلَّاتِهِمْ لاَ يَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ أَبُوكُمْ أَيْضاً زَلَّاتِكُمْ.
