  • 16. Wherefore {cf15I is there} a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing {cf15I he hath} no heart {cf15I to it}?

  • 24. Wisdom {cf15I is} before him that hath understanding; but the eyes of a fool {cf15I are} in the ends of the earth.
  • 25. A foolish son {cf15I is} a grief to his father, and bitterness to her that bare him.
  • 26. Also to punish the just {cf15I is} not good, {cf15I nor} to strike princes for equity.
  • 27. He that hath knowledge spareth his words: {cf15I and} a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.
  • 28. Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: {cf15I and} he that shutteth his lips {cf15I is esteemed} a man of understanding.
