  • ساموس: ساموس جزيرة واقعة أمام الشاطئ الغربي لآسية الصغرى. احتلّها الرومانيون سنة 134 ق.م. وصارت مستقلة منذ 19 ق.م. كان فيها مستوطنون يهود (1مك 15 :23). كانت السفن الذاهبة من هلاسبون (أي مضيق الدردنيل) إلى سورية تتوقف فيها. مرَّ فيها بولس خلال رحلته الرسولية الأولى (أع 20 :15). 1}
